Last Wednesday seemed to wrap four days into one - our letter, soon to arrive in the email system, describes some of that curious day.
Just two days later, another set of circumstances lend themselves to the suspicion that these events might be symptomatic of something else going on.
Friday began with a trip to the Hospital again, this time for the consultation with the Tumor board for Janis' skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. While we were at the Hospital, Delhi was hit with one of the hardest monsoon storms in a while. As a consequence, we were stuck at the hospital for 4-5 hours because the roads were impassable and there were no autorickshaws or taxis available. When we finally got a taxi to take us to the Gallery for a meeting to plan another Creativity Workshop and prepare for the evening’s Art Mela, we experienced the aftereffects of the storm with jammed traffic and submerged roads – see the photos below. A fifteen minute journey took over 2 hours!
The journey is often much different than we expect or anticipate...
